Michigan Legislature passed changes to the state medical marijuana regulations

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – The Lansing City Council is slated to discuss completely replacing its medical marijuana ordinance.

Monday the city council will be discussing the proposal, known as Chapter 1300.

The goal is to accommodate medical marijuana establishments.

This includes land use and zoning requirements, creation of a medical marijuana commission, licensing fees for businesses and fees for violating the ordinance.

The council will be voting on whether to set a public hearing for these changes on October 24.
