Developers are interested in a site in Wayne Township in the Corry Industrial Park.
They would like to build a $10 million facility to grow marijuana to get oils used for medicinal purposes.
But they need a state license. The public comments would be an important part in the effort to get state approval.
Rick Novotny, Executive Director of the Corry Redevelopment Authority said, “That will be part of the process to show they did have the public meeting even if it is not required and answered questions.”
Now if the plans for the Wayne Township site do not work out, Novotny said developers have also looked at another site, located in the Fairview Industrial Park.
